By accessing or using Mistercat ("the Service"), operated at mistercat.ai and user.mistercat.studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers of the Service.
Mistercat is an AI-powered episode production platform. From source material you provide ("evidence"), the Service generates scripts, multi-voice narration, visuals, and fully rendered video episodes, together with branding assets and publishing metadata. The Service is offered as a subscription-based product with a limited free tier.
Consumption is measured in episodes: one episode equals one full render of a produced video. Script previews and edits do not consume episodes.

The Service offers the following plans (current pricing is published at mistercat.ai/pricing.html):
Production is metered in credits. A standard eight-minute episode uses approximately 100 credits; shorter videos use fewer, and premium generative scenes display their additional credit cost before you produce. The exact credit cost of a render is shown before production starts, and credits are only deducted when production finishes successfully. Credit top-ups (e.g. 500 for $39, 2,000 for $129, 5,000 for $279) may be purchased inside the studio; top-up credits persist while a subscription is active.

Because rendering episodes incurs real compute costs at the moment of use, we generally do not provide refunds for partial billing periods or unused credit allowances. If something went wrong — a duplicate charge, a billing error, or a service failure on our side — contact hello@mistercat.ai within 14 days of the charge and we will make it right. If a charge is refunded or disputed, the associated subscription ends and the account reverts to the Sample plan.
If you purchase a plan before creating an account, your payment reserves the subscription for the email address used at checkout. You complete account creation on the claim page immediately after payment. If you do not complete it, your access can be recovered at any time by contacting us from the purchase email; your subscription and billing dates are unaffected by when you complete account creation.
Certain tools (such as the Hook Generator) are available without a subscription, subject to daily usage limits. Free tools are provided as-is and may be modified, rate-limited, or discontinued at our discretion without notice. Script previews on the Sample plan may be rate-limited per account per day to prevent abuse.
You retain full ownership of the content you create using the Service, including scripts, voice-overs, images, videos, and any other generated output, and you may publish and monetize it freely. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. Episodes rendered on the Sample plan carry a visible "Made with Mistercat" watermark, which you may not remove or crop out.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these provisions.
Content generated by the Service is produced using artificial intelligence models. You acknowledge that:
The Service integrates with third-party providers, including AI model providers, cloud infrastructure, and payment processors. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third parties' terms and policies. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or data practices of third-party services.
The Service, including its design, code, branding, documentation, and proprietary tools, is owned by Mistercat and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mistercat and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mistercat from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
